Head and Heal on Emotional Expedition Podcast

Ep 8: Head and Heal with Michelle Sason

podcast Sep 06, 2022

More and more people are turning to holistic healing. People are growing tired of treating symptoms with pharmaceuticals and the side effects that come along with them. CBD is one of many holistic approaches to health and it’s gaining in popularity.

It’s expected that the CBD industry will reach $25 billion by 2025! What is it about CBD that’s attracting so many people and how is it helping people deal with things like anxiety? This podcast is dedicated to giving you the tools and resources you need to navigate and process your emotions well, and today we’re diving in to talk about CBD, learn how it’s helped me deal with my own anxiety, and learn other ways it can used in a holistic approach to your health.

In this episode, Michelle Sason, the Education Manager with a wealth of CBD knowledge, is joining me and she’s breaking everything down that we need to know to assess if it’s the right thing for you and your emotional state.

Michelle sparked her joy and passion educating people about cannabis through photography. She highlights how connected art, nature, science and life really are through her own path. Coming from a holistic upbringing into the arts and photography took many twists and turns that led her away from science. Luckily, she found the connection between art, nature, and the science that she now uses to educate and support others in their journeys to reduce stress, sleep better, and have a more fulfilling life.

Some key areas Michelle explains in this episode are:

  • CBD, Cannabinoids & THC
  • How is cannabis part of a holistic approach to health
  • What is the Cannabinoid connection to our emotional states
  • Side effects to know about before trying CBD

Photographing nature literally anchored Michelle to her path that led to this passion of education at Head & Heal. Her connection with CBD in plant form is so interesting when you consider one passion for photography and nature helped her see beauty and connect to a passion for the cannabis plant. I was shocked to discover how effective CBD is in its various forms. The impact cannabinoids have throughout our bodies connecting to different kinds of receptors makes CBD a perfect candidate for assisting with emotional regulation, specifically anxiety.

Just as our emotions are natural to feel and experience, cannabis is also natural in how it connects with our bodies through these cannabinoid receptors that we have an entire system of.

“Being able to recognize the emotions that you're having, and being able to say, this isn't a bad thing, it's just an indicator of something bigger, a story that my body is trying to tell me”  Michelle Sason
