Grateful to be on the cover of Syracuse Woman Magazine with Root to Rise CNY
May 20, 2024Life is unpredictable, and our journey to create Root to Rise CNY has been filled with unexpected rewards. Jaime Weisberg, Tracy Dando Mergler, and I, Meghan Thomas, came together to help people from diverse backgrounds overcome life’s challenges and move forward positively.
We’re thrilled to share that Root to Rise CNY was recently featured in Syracuse Woman Magazine - January 2024. You can read the full article here.
Last fall, we held our first affordable wellness retreat at Vanderkamp, a rustic lodge surrounded by 850 acres of wilderness in Oswego County. We were thrilled when eighty participants joined us, seeking connection and healing. The retreat included yoga, meditation, sound healing, breathwork, and deep sharing, fostering a powerful sense of community.
This experience revealed a deep craving for connection and visibility. People wanted to be seen and heard, and we wanted to keep providing that space. This spring, we’re hosting another retreat at Vanderkamp, offering scholarships for those in need. We believe healing should be accessible to all.
To maintain this connection, we’re launching "Root to Rise: Connect & Be Seen." This program includes monthly online and in-person events, open to anyone for a monthly fee, even if they missed the initial retreat.
Each of us brings something unique to Root to Rise CNY. Jaime, a positive psychology coach, focuses on authentic relationships and resilience. Tracy, founder of Safe Space CNY, supports mental health through creative outlets and peer support. I, Meghan Thomas, use my podcast "Emotional Expeditions" to explore the impact of our emotions.
